Objective
The objective of this field trial was to evaluate the effects of two products, FertAmino 7-2-2 and NutriFul, on the yield and quality of Conference pears.
Treatments
The trial was conducted using a randomized block design with three treatments: Standard Practice, FertAmino 7-2-2, and FertAmino 7-2-2 + NutriFul. The trial was replicated across multiple blocks to ensure statistical validity. The yield, fruit count, and economic evaluation were recorded for each treatment. Foliar fertilisation was applied weekly for 22 weeks, from April 20 to September 20.

The combination of FertAmino 7-2-2 and NutriFul:
- Increased the number of fruits per tree by 10%
- Statistically increased yield by 9%, extra 4 mt/ha
- Brings extra revenue – 2843 €/ha
FertAmino 7-2-2 is a plant-based organic liquid fertiliser with a high concentration of free-amino acids. Once absorbed, the plant can conserve energy, redirecting it to other vital processes. Thanks to its high content of proline fruit set was higher than Standard Practice, increasing fruit number per tree by 7%. Furthermore, when applied in combination with NutriFul, it increased significantly the number of fruits per tree – extra 10%.
The same positive trend was observed also looking at the final yield. NutriFul enhanced the effectiveness of foliar applications, resulting in a significant 9% yield increase, equivalent to an additional 4 mt/ha.
The economic evaluation indicates that the use of FertAmino 7-2-2 and NutriFul resulted in higher gross and net income compared to the standard practice. The combination of FertAmino 7-2-2 and NutriFul provided the highest yield and economic return.
In conclusion, the application of FertAmino 7-2-2 and NutriFul on Conference pears demonstrated positive effects on yield and economic returns. The combination treatment of FertAmino 7-2-2 and NutriFul provided the highest yield and net income, making it a promising practice for pear growers.
